Babysitting is the practice of temporarily caring for a child on behalf of the child's parents. Traditionally babysitting was most commonly performed as an odd job by teenagers for extra money, stereotypically, girls. However, due to the incredible responsibility that comes with looking after someone else’s child, it was soon realized that modern moms would prefer to leave their child in the care of an adult.
